The Red Rose below was my original close up shot. Whilst I'm not a red person, I couldn't resist the lure, and was relatively pleased with the outcome. It is striking, but still not ranking on my all time favourite colour and low on invoking any heart stopping, awe inspiring emotions in me (apart from the overwhelming intoxicating scent, which I can still smell). So for my personal gratification, I delved into Lightroom for a quick alteration, a little tweak here and there and voila, something far more subtle, elegant and simply stunning (above). I am a sucker for B&W and Sepia.
